Krishna Janmashtami 2026 with Sushri Gopeshwari Devi

  • Sushri Gopeshwari Devi - Krishna Janmashtami 2026

A series of enlightening sessions led by Sushri Gopeshwari Devi were held at Radha Govind Bhakti Yog Mandir to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami 2026, the sacred festival commemorating the birth of Lord Shri Krishna. Celebrated throughout India and across the world, Janmashtami is a time of deep devotion, reflecting on Krishna’s divine pastimes and the transformative power of divine love. Devotees traditionally mark the occasion through fasting, devotional singing, meditation, prayer and performances depicting Krishna’s childhood pastimes.

At Radha Govind Bhakti Yog Mandir, the celebration continued for five days (4-8 September), bringing together devotees and guests for a rich programme of devotional meditation, enlightening lectures, arti, abhishek, bhog, cultural performances and the Krishna Parade. The programme offered many opportunities to come together in devotion and remembrance of Shri Krishna.

The atmosphere was enriched by the dedication of numerous devotees and volunteers who contributed their time, energy and skills to make the celebration possible. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped with decorating the temple, preparing and supporting the cultural programme, organising the Krishna Parade, and taking care of the many practical tasks behind the scenes. A special thank you goes to the volunteers who worked together to prepare, pack and serve the Prasad boxes for the participants.

A very special part of this year's celebration was the presentation of a new Leela play - Yogi Jairam Leela, based on Shree Maharajji’s kirtan from Prem Ras Madira: “Krishna Baal Leela, Jai Ram Hogi Jai Ram Maiya…” This beautiful Leela was lovingly prepared for the celebration by devotees from the USA and performed by several ladies from the Kraków Indian community. Their devotion, creativity and dedication brought this beautiful Krishna Leela to life and added a particularly memorable element to the programme.

And a very special and heartfelt thank you to Sushri Gopeshwari Devi, who guided and led the five-day celebration with her inspiring talks, devotional sessions and loving dedication. Her presence and contribution brought depth, inspiration and a beautiful devotional spirit to the entire programme.
